If you haven’t yet watched Elon Musk’s Powerwall 2 & Solar Roof launch video, you MUST check it out. I knew solar power would eventually become a thing people wanted/needed, but hard to imagine that it would look this viable so soon! Even the shingles themselves look like your every day shingle, only noticeable when turned to a certain angle under light.
Powerwall 2 will cost you around $6500 with installation, but as we see that price drop, more and more people will consider getting solar rooftop tiles (especially if they were already planning on shingling their house) to offset expenses/emissions. No pricing yet on the solar rooftop tiles.
